Producer Gnanavel Raja: Kanguva Hindi Bookings Delayed?

Suriya’s Kanguva Gears Up for a Pan-India Release

Suriya’s Kanguva, a highly anticipated pan-India film, is set to hit theaters on November 14th. The team is going all out with promotions, trying to reach a wider audience across India. However, recent buzz around the movie raised doubts about the status of Hindi version bookings. Reports suggested that bookings for Kanguva in the Hindi belt were lagging behind, causing concern among fans and industry watchers. Amid rumors of slow Hindi bookings for Kanguva, producer Gnanavel Raja clarifies the situation, promising updates as bookings open soon.

Controversy Surrounding Hindi Bookings

The controversy stems from past challenges related to the producer’s settlement with Reliance and concerns over theater allocation due to the strong performance of another release, Amaran. With just days left before the film’s release, a journalist asked producer Gnanavel Raja about the lagging Hindi bookings, implying that the movie might face a rough start in North India.

Producer Gnanavel Raja Clears the Air

In response to the query, Gnanavel Raja appeared visibly irritated but maintained his composure. He was quick to dismiss the rumors, assuring that the so-called ‘reports’ were premature. He explained that the Hindi version’s bookings had not even started yet. “Everyone is free to speculate, but the actual update will come directly from us,” he stated.

Gnanavel went on to clarify that major multiplex chains like PVR and others had not opened the booking windows for the Hindi version yet. “The real picture will emerge once the bookings open tomorrow. You will see the response for yourself,” he asserted. According to him, the delay is due to logistical reasons and not due to a lack of interest among Hindi-speaking audiences.

Producer Gnanavel Raja: Kanguva’s Release Plans and Audience Expectations

The movie is set to release with US Premieres on November 13th, a day before its official launch in India. Despite the rumors, expectations are high, especially in the Southern states where Suriya has a massive fan following. Gnanavel Raja emphasized that single screens in the South are already showing strong demand, which will help drive the movie’s initial box office numbers.

The Hindi version is expected to pick up once the bookings officially open. The producer is confident that once the trailers and promos reach a wider audience, the response from the North will be just as enthusiastic.

Can Kanguva Capture the Hindi Market?

With the current trend of pan-India films, Kanguva aims to cater to a diverse audience. Suriya’s previous successes in Hindi-dubbed versions, like Soorarai Pottru, have already established him in the North. Gnanavel Raja’s confidence suggests that Kanguva will leverage this momentum to achieve box office success.

The combination of Suriya’s star power, an engaging storyline, and strong promotions could help the film attract a wide range of viewers. As bookings open tomorrow, it remains to be seen if Kanguva can break through the competition and make a mark in the crowded November release calendar.
