During the Kannappa promotional event in Mumbai, Vishnu Manchu revealed how Prabhas joined the film without a second thought.

Mohan Babu’s Special Request to Prabhas

According to Vishnu, his father, Mohan Babu, personally approached Prabhas, requesting him to be part of Kannappa. Given their long-standing bond since Bujjigadu – Made in Chennai, Prabhas instantly agreed.

“Prabhas didn’t even think twice before saying yes. He even joked that he was scared because my father asked him directly. Prabhas asked me why I didn’t approach him myself.”

Akshay Kumar Initially Rejected Kannappa Twice

In contrast, Akshay Kumar was hesitant to take up his role in the film. Vishnu revealed that Akshay initially turned down the offer twice, despite being his first choice for the role of Lord Shiva.

“For someone of Akshay Kumar’s stature, he didn’t need to do this role. But when I envisioned Lord Shiva, I saw him in the character. He rejected the offer twice, but I eventually convinced him.”

Mohanlal’s Special Appearance in Kannappa
