POCSO Case: Jani Master Granted Interim Bail
Choreographer Jani Master, currently in judicial custody at Chanchalguda Central Jail in POCSO case, received temporary relief today. The Ranga Reddy district court granted him interim bail from October 6 to October 10. This will allow him to attend the National Awards ceremony on October 8, where he will receive the Best Choreography award.
National Recognition
Jani Master is being honored for his choreography in the song Megham Karukatha from Dhanush’s hit movie Thiruchitrambalam. The National Awards ceremony is a key event for him, and the court acknowledged this by granting him interim bail so he can attend and accept his award.
Serious Allegations and Arrest
A few weeks ago, a 21-year-old woman accused Jani Master of sexual assault, alleging the abuse began when she was a minor. These claims led to a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case, which resulted in his arrest in Goa. Afterward, Hyderabad police took him into custody. Initially, the court ordered a 15-day remand, which was later extended for further investigation.
Court Grants Interim Bail
Although the charges are serious, the court considered Jani Master’s request to attend the National Awards. He was granted temporary bail to attend the event, after which he must return to custody. This decision offers a brief respite, but the legal battle continues. This development comes amidst an intense legal battle, and it remains to be seen how the case will unfold. The entertainment industry and fans are divided in their opinions, as the allegations stand in stark contrast to Jani Master’s successful career and contributions to Indian cinema.
Challenges Ahead for Jani Master
The interim bail allows Jani Master to attend the awards, but his legal issues remain unresolved. The POCSO case is still ongoing, and the court proceedings will determine his future. This case has stirred mixed reactions within the entertainment industry, as Jani Master is a well-known figure in South Indian cinema.
