Maddock Films Announces 8 Horror Movies for the Next 4 Years

The Bollywood film industry Maddock films is currently facing a tumultuous phase, with commercial films like Baby Jan struggling at the box office. In contrast, cult filmmakers such as Rajkumar Hirani, despite delivering average products like Dunki, continue to maintain a presence. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Pathaan have been box office saviors, though without these hits, the situation might have been even more dire.

But the real surprise came from Tollywood’s dominance, with Pushpa 2: The Rule, a dubbed film, clinching the top spot at the box office. This shift showcases the growing impact of South Indian cinema in Bollywood.

However, it appears that Bollywood filmmakers have misinterpreted this change. With the horror genre seeing a surge in popularity, the industry has embraced it wholeheartedly. Films like Stree 2 and Munjya became unexpected hits, and even Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 managed to rake in over 400 crores despite receiving mixed reviews.

Maddock Films’ Bold Move into Horror

In light of this success, Maddock Films has announced an exciting and ambitious project—a series of 8 horror films over the next four years. The production house has already locked in the release dates for several of these films, ensuring that fans of the paranormal can expect a thrilling journey.

The first film in this series, titled Thama, will star Rashmika Mandanna in the lead role and scheduled for release this Diwali. By the end of December, Shakti Shalini will also be ready to hit the screens.

What’s in Store for 2026 and Beyond?

In 2026, the horror series will continue with Bhediya 2, which will feature Varun Dhawan, with Akshay Kumar also being considered for a role. The next two years will be particularly exciting for horror enthusiasts, as in 2027, Stree 3 and Maha Munjya are set to release. Casting is still underway, and fans can expect more details soon.

By 2028, the horror universe will expand further with Pehla Maha Yudda, followed by Dusra Maha Yudda just two months later. These films will bring all the characters from the Maddock Cinematic Horror Universe together, creating a thrilling, interconnected narrative.

What Lies Ahead?

With 8 horror films on the horizon, the future of Indian horror cinema looks very promising. Maddock Films is venturing into an exciting territory, and only time will tell how many more spine-chilling tales they will bring to the big screen.

As the year progresses, horror fans can look forward to a series of releases that promise to delve into supernatural mysteries, ghosts, spirits, and more. Who knows how many more films will emerge from this universe? Only the spirits—or perhaps God—knows!
